Her family said she had received threats in her position as program director, overseeing several offices of caseworkers. The authorities have ruled the case a homicide but have not said whether her death was related to her job."
In Texas, violence and violent acts are commonplace to the point that they have become invisible. The Bubba media in the states like to put mostly-peaceful protests in France on the front pages while ignoring the everyday violence and deaths of epidemic proportions in their own neighborhoods. Are things really worse elsewhere?
